Mission and Philosophy of Education:

St. Francis School is an independent, interdenominational school providing high-quality education to children from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. The school will not be affiliated with any church or religious denomination or other supporting organization.

    St. Francis School is an interfaith school committed to:

    • low student-teacher ratios and attention to the needs of every student;
    • excellence in achievement without exclusivity in admissions;
    • a student body that is integrated racially, ethnically, economically, and religiously, and in terms of sexual orientation and gender identity;
    • an atmosphere that is both supportive of religious and humanistic values and welcoming to children of all faiths

    • To sustain a nurturing and caring environment that draws together children, parents, and teachers.
    • To use a curriculum designed for the advanced student, while recognizing individual variation and supporting achievement according to ability.
    • To meet the unique needs of any student through personal attention.
    • To instill a sense of responsibility and self-esteem as an integral part of every child’s development.
    • To emphasize and utilize parental involvement as a necessary element of children’s education.
    • To invite a diverse mixture of students from many different backgrounds and outlooks.
